Kalatope Khajjiar Sanctuary
The sanctuary remains wonderfully surrounded by coniferous and oak forests. Some of the most commonly spotted animal species in the sanctuary include pheasants, deer, barking goral, jackal, Himalayan black marten, serow and black bear among others. The sanctuary forests is spread over an area of around 19.63 sq km.

The closest airport called Gaggal (Kangra) lies at a distance of 18 km from Khajjiar. Pathankot, 120 km away, is the nearest railway station from this hill town. By road, Khajjiar remains well connected with key destinations like Dalhousie, Chamba and Delhi among others.
