The Mall
The towns main shopping centre, the Mall is one of the biggest crowd-pullers in Shimla. The Mall bustles with activities, from morning till night. It is also a perfect place to get in touch with the locals of the hill town.
 
Jakhu Temple
According to Hindu mythology, it is the site where the monkey god Hanuman took rested during his trip to the Himalayan Mountains. A one-hour walk takes to the temple, which is situated above town affording picturesque views of the mountains.
 
Viceregal Lodge
Another major tourist attraction in Shimla is the Vice regal Lodge. Built under the supervision of Lord Dufferin in the year 1888, the lodge is an impressively constructed British Raj mansion. Manicured British-style gardens add much to the beauty of the mansion. No cameras are allowed inside.
 
Tara Devi Temple
At Tara Devi shrine goddess of stars is enshrined, that is the main reason of its popularity. It is locates at the top of its expansion. The distance between the Tara Devi temple and Shimla bus stop is nearly 11 kilo meters. The most revered temple is located at an elevation of 6,070 feet above sea level. It is the adequate site to take some rest in the calm climate in Shimla.
 
How to reach
Shimla is easily accessible by air. There is Shimla airport which locates at a distance of 23kms at Jubbarhutti. Jagsons Airways provides tremendous sevices to the tourists connecting Shimla to the major parts of the country. It is well connected with bus routes too. Kalka is the nearest railway station, 96 kilo meters from Shimla. No direct link to Shimla. You have to take a train firs to Delhi and from there you can easily reach Shimla.
